History

Green Pond Baptist Church was established July 9, 1804 in the Green Pond Community of Woodruff, SC. The current church building was built in the mid 1950’s, while the current parsonage was added in the 1960’s. The Green Pond Church family has been an active group in the Green Pond and Woodruff community over the past two centuries.

We look forward to how God will use our fellowship in our local community, the greater Greenville-Spartanburg area, our state, nation, and around the world as we seek to be obedient to our Lord’s command to, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (Matthew28:19-20 ESV)
